Nina Fern is a visual artist. She grew up to German-Turkish parents in Germany, where Nina studied Fashion and specialised in Costume Design. Her award-winning garments were exhibited in museums internationally and are held in private collections.
Nina received a BA (Hons) in Fine Art from the Atlantic Technological University (ATU) in 2022, and completed a practice-based research MA in Creative Practice with focus on virtual performance and storytelling in 2024. Her practice spans across extended reality (XR), moving image, and sculpture.
Nina is the recipient of the Ballinglen Arts Foundation annual Emerging Artist Award 2022, and her work was longlisted for the RDS Visual Art Awards 2022. In 2023, Nina has been awarded with the Agility Award and the Donegal Artist Bursary by the Arts Council and Donegal County Council.
