thermoplastic
The sculpture Inesse (Lat. To Belong) was made using 1mm white biodegradable thermoplastic pieces that were  inspired by seaweed. Hundreds of individual pieces were cut with small scissors and then sculpted together to form a fragmented female human body. To manipulate the thermoplastic, it must be heated to 120 degrees Celsius and then forged together. I deliberately chose an industrial yet sustainable material to depict something organic. This thermoplastic is solvent free, endlessly reusable, recyclable and biodegradable.
