 is a dream sequence, a recollection of how I see the ocean. Yet a wake up call that something is certainly quite wrong and needs attention. The edible plastic was made from agar agar, red kelp. I have collaborated with a kelp researcher from NUI Galway to find out more about kelp. Surprisingly, kelp seems to be resilient to micro plastics. This makes me hopeful, given the fact that micro plastics have been found in human organs and even in women’s placentas.
